Every season when I start my spring preparation ( I always take care when getting ready for spring, my husband thinks I'm lame) I choose one key piece and build my wardrobe around that piece.
This was my inspiration

So I've finally decided to get my husband off the treadmill for an hour and help me out with doing some posts. Everyone likes to see what people are wearing, it's inspiring. I often find myself searching through my favourite blogs when I need to find something to wear on a saturday night. So here we go, my first post..... Sorry these are all iphone pics, the battery was dead in the real cam.

So for my first outfit I'm breaking out my new favourite skirt, the Julia skirt from Club Monaco. I'm probably going to live in this skirt. Look at the way it moves!! I feel like the prettiest woman in the world in this thing. I thought about sneaking it into my house without the DH knowing, but he's caught on to my patterns.. new item of clothing means worn straight for 3-4 days, so I fessed up for this one.

I also dress my husband. A man jut doesn't pick out seafoam short on his own.

And of course the jewelry

On our stroll we took the wild beasts to the beach to stick their toes in the water.

And the husband must have been in a good mood because i got an early 1 year anniversary present. Possibly the best running hoes in the world.

My husband really despises the fact that pretty much keep everything, in the clothes dept. that is. So while tidying up my basement and going through the rack of clothes I have hanging up, I found these skirts! The dark one is totally perfect for now! My aunt purchased it for me like 10 years ago and it's made from vintage scarves and has spots of beading and sequins all over.

This one I scooped up about 8 years ago and will look so beautiful in the spring or fall, I might remove or shorten the under layer on this one.

I swear my family has a casserole for everything, we must be casserole fanatics! But really I don't blame them, super easy. Cut and bake.
Here is one of my fav's I just have to share. It's perfect for breakfast, especially when expecting hungover strays.
French Toast casserole

1 Loaf of bread

1/2 cup half & half cream

10 eggs

1/4 cup syrup

8 oz cream cheese

1/2 cup butter

cinnamon

Cube bread and layer half in a 13x9 glass pan. Cut the cream cheese into small cubes, scatter it across the bread then shake some cinnamon over top. Cover with the remaining half loaf of cubed bread and shake more cinnamon on top.

Mix eggs, half & half, syrup and melted butter together really good.

Pour egg mixture over the bread cubes and press down with hands to absorb the mixture into the bread. Shake some more cinnamon on top. Refrigerate over night.

in the morning bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 min.

Serve with syrup and icing sugar (optional).
